What a Week!

Finally it's Sunday again. What a LOOOOOOOONG week tis had been for me at work. Bored bored bored bored bored *yawns*

Lets see...I didnt do much on wednesday except to go out for dinner with my boy at Wheelock (isit single or double L?) Place cos I had to bring my ipod down to the Apple center for repairs. OH YES! Speaking of which, if u realised tt ur ipod batt is depleting real fast, send it to the Apple center. The guy told me that the old batch of ipods (the ones with the nicer colors like pastel metalic pink n metalic baby blue, not the new ones with DISGUSTING colors like shocking pink n electric blue n lime green...) has a batt prob. So they regularly get customers coming back to complain abt the batt not being able to hold a charge. N you know what they r gonna do? They are gonna give me a BRAND NEW IPOD! FOC! Woo Hoo! I m so happy cos I dropped my ipod on its edge once n then there is a small ugly dent on the top left hand corner n I was so terribly upset then but now...NO MORE DENTS!!!! YAY!!!

Thursday was a lazy day with me being hme from work by 6.30pm (SO early!!!).

Friday...friday was a day NOT to be forgotten man! There had been some talk abt the planet MARS appearing in our sky n it was supposed to be at its peak where it can be viewed with the naked eye by 12.30am, Saturday morning. And so...I made plans with a couple of friends to head over to Marina Bay for some BBQ Steamboat buffet along with a couple of bowling games before heading over to the beach to catch the "once in a lifetime" sight.

Alas, ard 7pm+, I received an sms from the same friend, telling me that his wife's colleague had said it was a hoax!!! Man was I disappointed. *sobs* That, coupled with the fact that I had to wait 40mins with a rumbling tummy to meet up with a delegate from the Kingdom of Bahrain to settle some payments but he NEVER turned up!

However, things only got better from then on. Managed to arrive at Marina Bay 45mins late n by then I was ravished! Spend the next 3hrs gorging n exchanging stories with my friends till almost midnite n deciding that the night was still early, we headed over to superbowl marina n had a couple of games. By the time I got hme, it was past 2am in the morning.

Saturday was great fun too! Woke up at 11, decided to it was still very early n went back to sleep again until it was almost 1pm. =p Did the usual stuff (hsechores, lunch, getting ready to go out) n my boy came over to pick me up at 3.15pm to head over to YCK stadium to catch his game. They were playing against SCC today. Unfortunately, due to bad refereeing together with the fact that SCC were the better players at the end of the day, both division 1 & 2 lost the game.

With a very disappointed n disgusted boyfriend in tow (better not let him read this =p), we head back to Yew Tee for dinner n then to his place so that he could shower n get ready for the night out tt we had planned with a few of his expat friends who were heading back to their home country. Unfortunately, I got so sleepy after dinner that fell asleep while waiting for him n by the time I woke up, it was almost 11pm! It was then a rush bak to my place in a cab, I showered n made up in the quickest time possible, n we drove down to One Fullerton, Lash.

Oh yea...speaking of which, Lash is a very nice place for chilling out with friends. The food is reaonably priced, drinks selected is limited though most ppl would drink beer anyway, plenty of seats, n there is a big screen tv for nights where there are soccer matches too. Only thing is, they closed at 3am though.

Anyway, by 1.30am, a couple of them were getting sleepy so we split into 2 groups, one to head over to Lau Pa Sat for supper, n the other back hme to sleep. Lau Pa Sat was a disappointment though cos most of the stalls were closed already so we ended up only having dessert. It was then more gossiping (with one of the french guy trying to convince us to watch "March of the Penguins n the aussie guy giving plenty of reasons NOT to watch it. Damn hilarious!) till abt 3.30am before we bade our farewells with promises to catch up again for dinner before they leave Singapore.

By the time I got hme, it was about 4am in the morning n with a little net surfing n all, it was almost 6am by the time i crawled into bed. The rest is history as I slept in till almost 3pm in the afternoon (with fultile efforts by my mum n dad to wake me up at 12pm and 1pm respectively) n now...

I AM STILL SLEEPY!!!! DAMMIT!!!

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory

Monday was a BORING start of the my 2nd last week in the company but had a GREAT ending...=p

Was almost bored to tears today in the office as there is nothing very much to do now tt I m in an ORD mood n most of the events tt r running at the moment dun involve me very much.

Dear dear notti roomie turtle friend of mine from NZ (yes, the same one who was called me from 6000miles away...or maybe more) was supposed to go online to accompany me n entertain me while I bore my brains out of my skull but NOOOOOO...he ended up being MEAN n watched animes instead till 5pm+. HMPH! By then it was time for me to go hme already!

Things got slightly better after tt though...went down to town to meet my boy for a movie "Charlie n the Chocolate Factory". Show starts at 7.05pm, I arrived at ard 6.15pm so I went to get the tickets 1st n did some shopping ard while waiting for him, he left his office at 6.35pm n only reached PS at 6.48pm...n tt left us with...15mins to buy our food, go up to the 7th storey, buy drinks n popcorn and NOT be late for the movie!!! I had nvr eaten a teriyaki chicken burger so fast in my life!!!

The show was damn FUNNY can! Though Willy Wonka was...errr....weird to say the least, stiil, I felt tt Johnny Depp played the part of Willy Wonka very well. The only irritating part abt the whole show were the stupid Ommph Loompas (I think this is wat they r called. They just have this really really strange name n they look even stranger!!!!)

Everytime one of the kids did something notti n ended up with horrible consequences, they will have a very irritating n BAD dance n song thingy which almost drove me nuts. ARGH!!!!

Still, overall the show was worth every single $7 tt I paid for n is a gd way to chase away the Monday blues.

Now...while I was waiting for my boy earlier on before the show, I spotted a couple of earrings tt I had taken a fancy to, but ended up not buying as time was quite short. While watching the movie, I kept thinking abt tis particular pair (dangly n vintage looking pair) n I knew i HAD to get it (Even though I already have a million other pairs of earrings, including 5 pairs I got in Europe but only 4 ear holes =p). So after the movie, no prizes for guessing where I dragged my boy to! Haha...

Ended up with 3 new pairs of earrings now for only $10...err...n a humongo mother-of-pearl shell pendant on black beads chain....very very pretty n ONLY $10 too! Wat a BARGAIN!

It was indeed, the perfect way to end a horrible Monday. OH...n also, the 10th last day I will be in the company...woo hooo!!!

p.s Actually by now, I only have 8 more days left cos its tuesday already n I dun intend of work Sats the next 2 weekends too *grins*

Lazy Weekend...2 More Weeks to Go!

WAHAHAHAHAHA...managed to sleep till i SHIOK over the weekend. Woke up at 11am on sat (though was disturbed countless times by calls from office) n I slept till 1pm (sorta) today! At least I wun be turning into a raccoon anytime soon if I m able to catch up on my sleep like this every weekend. Heehee. =p

As the title implied...didn't really accomplished much over the weekends. Caught my boy's game on Sat n ended up I had to drive us hme after the game cos he injured his palm during the game (along with a million other bumps n cuts he received all over his body). Went to Lot 1 for dinner n then did some shopping. Finally bought my Michael Buble CD after contemplating over it for months now.

Today was worse! Just packed my rm a little (its REAL neat now!), did some hse chores...n tts it! A close close dear friend from NZ gave me a call ard 9+ though n we had a gd 2 hrs chat. Pity its a sunday n I had to end the conversation to grab my shower n get ready to sleep...had he called me yesterday, I think we would have prob talked a couple of hrs more. It was nice catching up with him again...its been too long!

Alritey...2 more weeks before I say bye bye to my company. I think the only thing tt I will miss very much will be the freedom I have, n the company car they provide me. Colleagues wise, NAH...with the exception of my immediate supervisor who is a damn hellva funny guy, n another gal who I have gotten pretty close to the past few weeks. Its ok, I can always meet them for coffee in future. =)

For now, its COUNTDOWN TIME!!!

Closing of Another Chapter

This week had been madness...worked till 12am+ on tuesday as the Zimbabweans' flight was delayed from 2am to 4am. I was already at bugis accompanying my boy for dinner after his rugby training but in the end had to rush down to Sheraton Towers and Hotel Asia again to collect the balanced payments from them. TIRED!!! In fact, I m so tired that I decided to take the day off on Saturday to sleep in, rather than having to crawl out of bed at 6.30am just to go to work n DO NOTHING!

On a another note, I have told my boss that I m leaving the company on the 6th Sept. He is totally devasted but I only realised the full extent when he came into my room to talk me out of quitting. He was like "Can u pls at least work till the end of the yr? How abt I bond u to the company? How much are they paying you? I m sure it is not as much as what I m paying you rite?" n he even went as far as to say "Y must u break my heart like tt? I dun care, u have to come bak to work after school everyday!" Aiyoh...so drama I tell u. But though I feel damn guilty...it feels gd to be wanted by the CEO. Heehee...=p

YAY! The weekend is here again n FINALLY I can look forward to a saturday without moaning n groaning abt having to wake up early...muhaahhahaha! I will be doing tis for the next 2 sats too...LIFE IS GOOOOOOD! =)

SHC East Deviants Virgin BBQ Sat 13 Aug 05

FUCK! I m sick again...must be working too hard =p but then again, this post is not to complain abt me feeling miserable the whole day...it's abt the virgin bbq organised by East Deviants from the SHC! Woo hoo!

Preparation for the bbq starts long before the actual day itself...Friday nite picked my boy up and drove down to his friend's place for hse-warming before heading over to bukit timah to join the deviants for tim sum at ard 11.30pm. Was feeling lazy plus had to wake up at 7am to go to work the next day...KNNBCCB...I left ard 12+ while the rest of them headed to Jurong port to buy prawns n stingrays n stuff for the bbq.

LOL...but LO n BEHOLD...i still overslept! =p woke up at 8.25am (n I start work at 8.30am) n by the time I got to work it was 9.30am. Bummed ard the office for abt an hr before heading out again and shortly after that, drove down to Kallang to catch a close friend compete in Reef Wakefest 2005, n then heading hme to catch a short nap. Not too bad...he came in 1st for his heat! At least didn't waste my effort of driving all the way there to give him moral support...heehee.

DAMN...overslept AGAIN! supposed to wake up at 5pm but woke up at 5.30pm instead but luckily still managed to pick my boy up from town after his game, hme to shower n all, then ALL the way down to Pasir Ris for the bbq...by the time I was there, it was already almost 9pm. =p (OPPS!)

BBQ was great...turnout was huge though it was sorta like a flow with ppl coming n leaving at different times so it wasn't too packed. Haha...gary (phuturist) n cherie (dovey), and alvin (mars) and eve (Pluto) were bz smooching at a corner throughout the whole bbq, wilfred (cigardude) was hogging the bbq pit showing off his wonderful cooking skills, vincent (fatelmo) was bz taking photos of everyone...and the deviants are crazy drinkers!!! They finised 9 bottles of liquor in 1 hour!!! Thk goodness everyone got hme safe n sound.

The bbq was a total madhouse, just like any other deviants gathering that we have and I m looking forward to the next one, hoping that it will be REALLLLL SOON!

The Awakening

It has been almost 3 years since I graduated from university and came back from Melbourne after spending one of the best 3 years of my life there.

The past 3 years had been a turbulent one...I broke up with my long-time bf, worked in and quitted countless jobs in the search for greener pastures, got attached again, took up wakeboarding n got so hooked that I go riding every saturday now n in the process burning a BIG hole in my pocket, went backpacking in Europe for 3 weeks with 3 of my bestest friends and fractured my ankle the last day in Paris, made new friends, lost old ones...the list goes on.

However, the main reason why I m starting this blog is to record a new milestone in my life...I finally got accepted into NIE!

It has been a long time since I've studied, burned the midnite oil to finish assignments and mugged for nites for tests n exams. I hope I haven forgotten how to do so.

Regardless, I m sure the next 4 years of my life will be fun n I intend to record every single moment of it here...
