Hip Hop is DA BOMB!

Just a quick update before I fly off for china at an unearthly hour of 7am tomorrow morning. That means I have to be at the airport by 5.30am?!?!?!? OMG!

Last week was still school as usual as I had to go back almost everyday for workshops and meetings. Oh yes, I got my class allocation too, pri 2D again.

Attended a friend's wedding with my boy last sunday. The bridal suite damn nice can! No pictures though except for one of me and my boy when we got home cos in my rush, I forgot to bring my camera along. DUH! *smake forehead*

Me, all dressed up for the wedding dinner

My boy...all dressed up too as he is one of the "brothers" for the groom

Don't we look good together? =p

Signed up for hip hop classes and today was my 1st lesson. Hip Hop is soooo fun can! & it is a damn good workout too. Hopefully by the end of Dec (dance sessions are twice a week, Tues & Thurs, 8 sessions in total) and together with my wakeboard sessions, I will be able to see a fitter and slimmer me for Chinese New Year. =p

Wanted to take up kickboxing lessions on saturdays too but lessons are unable to commence cos not enuff people. Damn. =(

Ok I better go off n shower now. It is 5.30pm already and I still haven pack my luggage. I will be heading over to my auntie's place to stay overnight as she stays much nearer to the airport.

Cya again when I am back on Saturday. Hopefully I will have lots of photos!

I am almost a genius!

Today is my school's annual dinner cum farewell (cos my VP is leaving) and I was tasked to handle the most important part of the program...the emceeing and the slides presentation + stage backdrop.

Thankfully everything went smoothly, my P loved my backdrop design, and though I didn't manage to have a proper meal, it was great!

On the way home, there was a MASSIVE traffic jam right up from the tunnel at Outram and stretching all the way to PIE Changi! Good thing I was smart enough to exit and took a detour home via Thomson. Otherwise, god knows what time I would have reached home! *shudders*

Anyway, after just as I was about to head for the showers, a website caught my attention and I spend the next half hour doing 3 different IQ tests.

And guess what?

For the Classic IQ test from Tickle.com ( http://web.tickle.com/tests/uiq/index-pop.jsp?sid=&supp=&z= ) , my result is 138.

For the Super IQ test ( http://web.tickle.com/tests/superiq/?c=42677&test=superiqogt ) which is supposed to be an in-depth version of the Classic test, my result is 131.

And at IQtest.com, supposedly the home of the original online IQ test ( http://www.iqtest.com ), my result is 135.

According to this website http://members.shaw.ca/delajara/IQBasics.html (or any other websites that you can get from the internet), my IQ is in the 2nd highest range, meaning I have very superior intelligence! Muahahaha...

This is the table for the different classification of IQ range.

IQ Range & Classification

140 and over - Genius or near genius
120 to 140 - Very superior intelligence
110 to 120 - Superior intelligence
90 to 110 - Normal or average intelligence
80 to 90 - Dullness
70 to 80 - Borderline deficiency
Below 70 - Definite feeble-mindedness

In future, if anyone says I am stupid, I shall ask him/her to do the IQ test and see how they fare against my results. *evil grin*

Photos time!

Didn't managed to take any photos during the dinner today as like I mentioned earlier, I was simply too busy. I know there will be many shots of me in the school's camera (candid shots done while I was emceeing, etc but no posed ones) but all I have now are 2 pictures taken before the dinner started, simply becos these 2 teachers are pretty close to me in school and they are leaving so I had insisted on a picture with them as a memory.

The 3rd photo is a photo of 3 of my gals who I happen to chance into at the school bus-stop one late evening when they went Hari Raya-ing. I didn't have my camera with me that day so in the end, I had to use my mobile phone camera (n that explains the grainy quality of the shot).

update: dunno y the photos of my gals didn't appear. I will try again another day. Time to sleep now. Tata...

Last Day of School!

FINALLY!

Friday was the last day of school for the primary level and though the day was greeted with much happiness and joy as both teachers and students look forward to a well deserved 1 month rest, there were also much sadness as we say our farewells to our kids (especially for me cos I will still be in the morning session next year but my P2 kids will be in the afternoon session so I will hardly get to see them) and a few colleagues who would be leaving the school.

Not many pictures for this entry as I didn't take photos with my colleagues. Instead I will leave that to Tuesday as it is our school's annual dinner (and I was asked to be the emcee for the night).

Oh, and this post is gonna be a short one too as I don't have alot of things to update.

So let me just end off with a couple of photos of my babies who have given me much reasons for joy and anger in the past few months.

p.s. WTFH...I am sick...AGAIN! This is the 4th time in 4 months and it is alwaz around the same period. This is getting freaky...and irritating!

The top 3 students in my class

Haha...they are so cute!

Presenting, my babies of class Pri 2D (only half the class...the rest are absent =p)

Sighz....I will miss them so much =(

Your Name Determines Your Character?

One of my bestest friend emailed this website to me.

http://www.paulsadowski.com/Numbers.asp

They told me to enter my name as it is in my birth certificate. This is what it said about me...

You entered: Wee Li Eng

There are 8 letters in your name. Those 8 letters total to 44There are 4 vowels and 4 consonants in your name.

Your number is: 8

The characteristics of #8 are: Practical endeavors, status oriented, power-seeking, high-material goals.

The expression or destiny for #8
Your Expression is represented by the number 8. The 8 Expression is well-equipped in a managerial sense. You have outstanding organizational and administrative capabilities. You have the potential for considerable achievement in business or other powerful positions. You can expect to receive the financial and material rewards. You have the skill and abilities to establish or operate a business with great efficiency. You have good judgment when it comes to money and commercial matters, and you understand how to build and accumulate material wealth. Much of your success (or lack of it) may come due to your ability (or inability) to judge character. With the number 8 Expression, you exercise sound judgment in most of your affairs; you are realistic and practical in your approach to business matters.

The positive 8 Expression produces individuals that are very ambitious and goal-oriented. If the 8 energy is not in excess in your makeup, you will no doubt express these traits to some extent. No one has any more energy that a person with the 8 Expression who has a plan laid and is starting to work. No one has any more self-confidence, either. If you are expressing the positive qualities of 8, you are an outstanding manager because you can plan, initiate, and complete projects; you are very dependable and determined.

As it always happens, there can be too much of a good thing. If you have too much of the 8 energy in your makeup, you may express some of the negative attitudes. A negative 8 can be very rigid and stubborn. Ambition sometimes has a way of becoming over-ambition, and you may express an unreasonable impatience with the lack of progress. If your negative side is showing, you may be too exacting, both of yourself and of others. Sometimes this can even becomes a case of intolerance.

The number 8 is very materialistic and also very desirous of status and power. Neither of these drives are inherently negative unless they are taken to an extreme. You must avoid the tendency to strain after money, material matters, status, or power, to the detriment of the other important factors in your life.

Your Soul Urge number is: 6

A Soul Urge number of 6 means
With a number 6 Soul Urge, you would like to be appreciated for your ability to handle responsibility. Your home and family are likely to be a strong focus for you, perhaps the strongest focus of your life. Friendship, love, and affection are high on your list of priorities for a happy life. You have a lot of diplomatic tendencies in your makeup, as you a able to rectify and balance situations with an innate skill. You like working with people rather than by yourself. It is extremely important for you to have harmony in your environment at all times.

The positive side of the 6 Soul Urge produces a huge capacity for responsibility; you are always there and ready to assume more than your share of the load. If you possess positive 6 Soul Urges and express them, you are known for your generosity, understanding and deep sympathetic attitude. Strong 6 energy is very giving of love, affection, and emotional support. You may have the inclination to teach or serve your community in other idealistic ways. You have natural abilities to help people. You are also likely to have artistic and creative leanings.

If you have an over-supply of 6 energy in your makeup, you may express some of the negative traits common to this number. With such a strong sympathetic attitude, it is easy to become too emotional. Sometimes the desires to render help can be over done, and it can become interfering and an attitude that is too protective, rather than helpful. The person with too much 6 energy often finds that people tend to take advantage of this very giving spirit. You may tend to repress your own needs so that you can cater to the demands from others. At times, there may be a tendency in this, for becoming over-loaded with such demands, and as a result become resentful.

Your Inner Dream number is: 2

An Inner Dream number of 2 means
You dream of close and meaningful relationships, cooperation with those around you; family and friends. You want to be a peacemaker and mediator. You present an image that you are a very pliable and easygoing person who would be very easy to get along with.

Not too bad....quite accurate. However, as Angela was a name also given to me by my parents but it was not in my birth certificate as they only decided on my Christian name AFTER the cert was ready, I decided to type it in and see what sort of results I get.

You entered: Wee Li Eng Angela

There are 14 letters in your name. Those 14 letters total to 66There are 7 vowels and 7 consonants in your name.

Your number is: 3

The characteristics of #3 are: Expression, verbalization, socialization, the arts, the joy of living.

The expression or destiny for #3
An Expression of 3 produces a quest for destiny with words along a variety of lines that may include writing, speaking, singing, acting or teaching; our entertainers, writers, litigators, teachers, salesmen, and composers. You also have the destiny to sell yourself or sell just about any product that comes along. You are imaginative in your presentation, and you may have creative talents in the arts, although these are more likely to be latent. You are an optimistic person that seems ever enthusiastic about life and living. You are friendly, loving and social, and people like you because you are charming and such a good conversationalist. Your ability to communicate may often inspire others. It is your role in life to inspire and motivate; to raise the spirits of those around you.

The negative side of number 3 Expression is superficiality. You may tend to scatter your forces and simply be too easygoing. It is advisable for the negative 3 to avoid dwelling on trivial matters, especially gossip.

Your Soul Urge number is: 4

A Soul Urge number of 4 means
With the Soul Urge or Motivation number of 4 you are likely to strive for a stable life. You tend to follow a rather orderly pattern and systematic approach in your endeavors. You have an inner desire to serve others in a methodical and diligent manner. You want to be in solid, conventional, and well-regulated activities, and you are somewhat disturbed by innovation and erratic or sudden changes. Excellent at organizing, systematizing, and managing, you have a way of establishing order and maintaining it. You are responsible, reliable and in the final analysis, practical. Highly analytical, you can see your way through all sorts of situations and generally have a clear understanding of the issues. You are a very honest, sincere, and conscientious individual.

The negative side of the 4 is rigid, stubborn and somewhat narrow-minded. There is a tendency to hide feelings, or to really not be aware of real feelings. Avoid being too rigid and stubborn in your thinking, and try to always see the big picture rather than becoming to involved with the detail. Don't be afraid to take a chance once in awhile.

Your Inner Dream number is: 8

An Inner Dream number of 8 means
You dream of success in the business or political world, of power and control of large material endeavors. You crave authority and recognition of executive skills. Your secret self may have very strong desire to become an entrepreneur.

Hmmmm...this is pretty accurate too even though the numbers are all different.

Generally both analysis describe me as a confident, out-spoken, friendly, cheerful, blah blah blah sort of person with a streak of stubborness and so on. Well most personality test that I have taken so far pretty much say the same thing. Or at least none has describe me as a shy n quiet gal. LOL.

But But BUT...

OH MY GOODNESS!!! The second analysis says that my quest for destiny will end with me being a teacher (which I am now after working in the private sector for about 3 years) but my secret self have a very strong desire to become an entrepreneur (I had alwaz wanted to be my own boss and my long term plans include setting up my own businesss, most prob in the sports related sector)!!!

So true...So freaky. *Jaw Drop*

Maybe in my next post I should try the birthday calculator next and see how it goes.

Gigolo vs Virgin

Wahahaha...Now that I have your attention...No, I am not going to go into a lengthy discussion between the differences of a gigolo and a virgin (though I am sure many of you will know what their MAIN difference is =p)
Instead, what I wanna talk about are the 2 movies that are currently screening across Singapore, "Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo" and "The 40 year-old virgin".
Dude, when did the leaning tower appear in the movie???
URGH! With that haircut, it's no wonder he is still a virgin!
Now...as we ALL know, Singapore is a boring place at night, especially if one's preference does not include getting pissed drunk and/or shaking your booty along with hundreds of hot sweaty bodies while clubbing and/or pubbing. So on a friday night or over the weekends, how do you entertain youself when all the shops have closed for the day? Watch midnight movie lor!
It has been a long time since I've last been to a movie. In fact, the last show I caught with my guy was "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and that was well over 2 months ago! However, I must have been bitten by a movie bug recently cos I ended up dragging my guy to the movies for 2 consecutive Saturdays (Actually the 2nd movie was supposed to be on a Friday but we didn't managed to get any tickets, even for the midnight show so *shrugs*).
As far as I can remember, the censorship board in Singapore is pretty anal about the movies that are being screened locally. The slightest bit of nudity or violence will entitle the movie to a R(A) rating (but that doesn't mean that the movie is not being censored even further...in the end, what you get is probably a 1.5hrs of senseless crap) and sex scenes will end up as floor decorations in the censorship board room.
I am not too sure what happened during 2 months that I was away but WOAH!!! Not only did movie "Gigolo" and "Virgin" had nudity in it (Bare, NAKED breasts! And they weren't even censored in the least bit!!), but there were scenes of porn (in 40yr-old virgin) and discussion of pretty controversial topics too.
Well, all I can say is "WELL DONE SINGAPORE!"
At least they are no longer anal...well, not THAT anal anyway. *Laffs*
Oh yes rite, if you r really bored and have nothing to do, go catch the 2 movies. They are really funny...good way to end a bad day as laughter is always the best medicine, ain't it? *winks* But if you have time to catch only one, then "Gigolo" will be a better bet. Then again, it might just be a personal preference.
Time to go!
